About us
Inter IKEA Centre Group (IICG) develops and operates shopping destinations with an IKEA store as a unique anchor. IICG operates throughout Europe, and is now expanding into China.
IICG can offer a unique recipe for success. Like many other shopping centres, ours are well designed, efficiently operated and have a carefully selected tenant mix. But, unlike other retail destinations, all IICG centres feature an IKEA store that attracts shoppers from up to one hour’s drive away.
In Inter IKEA Centre Group we have a distinctive approach to development and management: we are committed to staying for the long-term. So every decision we make is focused on driving long-term value for both our retail partners and shoppers. This will allow us to continue creating new opportunities for our business partners.
TOGETHER
WE ARE
STRONGER
At Inter IKEA Centre Group our goal is to create a clear, collective identity incorporating all of our unique selling points. All IICG centres are now being marketed under one “umbrella” – the Smiling Shopping Bag. This is a powerful icon that people both recognise and respond well to.
Maximizing awareness – minimizing costs
Joining forces to promote our shopping centres is a logical move – maximizing consumer awareness while minimizing individual costs. We seek innovative new ways to communicate through events, campaigns, on-line and more traditional media in order to generate business for everyone concerned.
Regular benchmarking
Each year we conduct comprehensive customer surveys to help us gauge how successfully we have met our objectives. At management meetings in every centre we share this knowledge so that, together, we can continue to grow and prosper.

THREE
COMMITMENTS
1. IKEA as a primary anchor
IKEA is powerful enough to attract visitors from up to a 60-minute radius – customers with whom retailers might otherwise never come into contact. For your company this could mean access to a customer base considerably larger than you would find at regular centres.
2. A long-term investment partner
Unlike many companies, who acquire sites only to develop them and move on, Inter IKEA Centre Group remains an active owner. At all of our locations we invest heavily for long-term continuity and profitability.
3. Professional daily management
Shopping centres will only attract maximum footfall if the tenant mix is attractive and the environment is functional and secure. To maintain high standards IICG manages all daily operations, leaving our tenants free to focus on what they do best – promotion, sales and service.
